Once upon a time, in a big green forest, there lived a little squirrel named Sammy. Sammy loved collecting acorns more than anything. One sunny morning, he found a perfect, shiny acorn under the old oak tree.
"Oh, what a beautiful acorn!" said Sammy. "I will keep it safe for winter."
He decided to hide it in a special place. But just then, a bluebird flew by and surprised him. Sammy jumped, and the acorn rolled away. It rolled down a hill, across a stream, and disappeared!
"Oh no! My acorn is lost!" cried Sammy.
Sammy started to look for it. He asked his friends for help. First, he saw Lucy the Rabbit.
"Lucy, have you seen my shiny acorn?" asked Sammy.
"I'm sorry, Sammy. I haven't seen it," said Lucy. "But I can help you look!"
They searched near the carrots, but no acorn.
Next, they saw Benny the Bear.
"Benny, have you seen my shiny acorn?" asked Sammy.
"I'm sorry, Sammy. I haven't seen it," said Benny. "But I can help you look!"
They searched near the honey tree, but no acorn.
Finally, they saw Olivia the Owl, who was very wise.
"Olivia, have you seen my shiny acorn?" asked Sammy.
Olivia blinked her big eyes. "I saw something shiny near the big rock by the stream."
They all hurried to the stream. There, behind the big rock, was the shiny acorn!
"Hooray!" cheered Sammy. "Thank you, my friends!"
Sammy learned that with friends, no problem is too big. And that winter, he shared his acorns with everyone.
